Between what I call right and you call wrong, between you and me, between day and night and storm and calm, between art appreciation, fine dining and daily chores, between useless surveys and those red and blue piecharts and similar things that we call our reality, I say: let’s plant seedlings, let’s light candles in those gaps. Let’s cover the chasm between you and me in rose petals and birdsong, let’s have clear pathways, without clouded thoughts, without minefields. Let’s stop blowing everything up. Between us and them, between excess and moderation, love and hate, let us have trust. In our heart of hearts, let us have trust.
