What was it like?
PAROS 2007 FEEDBACK
Brigitta and Paul (Switzerland) “Valued the diversity of the programme. We were both truly carried away by the variety of dances and wonderful music, the sea (singing and dancing by it) and the spiritual gems that arose from the circle. See you there next year.”
Lesley Laslett (UK circle dance teacher/choreographer) “I loved the balance of dancing and treats. Perfect place, and wonderful atmosphere in the group”
Michael Laslett (U.K. “non-dancing partner”)“I came here expecting to spend a lot of time on my own, but you and the group have made me so welcome. I’ve had a fantastic, enjoyable week”
Trisha Casey (Eire) “Fab week. Started off low energy, now feel great. Beautiful place – will never forget it.”
Anna Doran (Eire) “Love the variety every day, the thread of dance running through the programme. Gratitude for such an experience and I plan to come back”
Annette Booker (UK) “Sheer joy! It’s also been a spiritual experience, enabling me to think deeply and reassess aspects of my life”
Elizabeth Jarrett (USA)”I’m grateful for the flexible relaxed tone that allowed for degrees of participation.Taking moments to share what the dancing means to each of us was invaluable in helping me connect with the group.Your leadership makes it easy to trust we are being held and can relax. The hotel feels much like being cared for by a family!”
Emily Jarrett (USA dance teacher/choreographer) “Awesome retreat. I’m leaving relaxed, centred and a more confident dancer. Thank you especially for your patience in transmitting the dances. I loved the visiting Greek dancers (Katerina rocks!). Enjoyed the small corners of Paros you shared with us.”
Hilary and Tony (UK) “Dance, love, warmth and fellowship in a truly magical place. Singsongs much appreciated”
Eve Corrin (U.K. circle dance teacher/choreographer) “I love the traditional gleaming white and deep blue Cycladic simplicity of the hotel; a haven. Enjoyed the group forays (impressively well-organised and blip-free) into Greek resorts and villages for sightseeing, feasting, walking and dancing. Highlights include dancing by moonlight in the oleander and bougainvillea filled hotel courtyard. Stefan jamming with the Greek dancers and their beautiful, haunting songs, and the verve and style of their dancing and their eagerness to include us. And all the lovely new dances including upbeat and yearning ones. Stefan and Bethan seemed on relaxed and sparkling form and were able to excel themselves as welcoming and caring workshop leaders who appeared to give and receive nourishment at the same time. A delightful, mellow and uplifting experience” |
